Eid al-Adha is estimated to fall on June 5th 2025, depending on the sighting of the moon. 

Qurbani means ‘sacrifice’-it is used to describe the holy sacrifice of livestock as an act of worship.

Qurbani is due after Eid prayer on the first day of Eid ul Adha until 13th Dhul Hijjah.  

Qurbani is done to emulate the obedience of the Prophet Ibrahim (as) when he sacrificed a lamb in the place of his son Ismail (as) to please Allah (swt).

Qurbani is obligatory for those who undertake the journey of Hajj and carries immense rewards when performed by those who were unable to go.
